bruised, battered, blueblacked by ballistic balls.
softball: there's nothing
soft about it.
the number of blueblacks and bruises on my legs should be enough evidence for the above statement. and these occurred when i was wearing shin guards. good ones dude (adidas), good ones.
either that or my coach is seriously out to kill me :D
the bruise on my knee looks hyper colourful now.. (nice pinkish-purple shade..)
quite glad i had a sports cca background. at least i roughly expected the level of commitment and mental/psychological
abuse pain softball would require. of course.. i didn't count on getting 2 blueblacks every training but hey, no pain, no gain baby!
softball also helps keep my ego down. you wouldn't believe the kind of mistakes i make during trainings (fieldingggggg- *cries*)
then there's the equipment cost.. gosh i miss the good ol' days when all you needed were a pair of track shoes. okay, maybe a pair of spikes too. i don't even dare to calculate how much i've spent on gloves, shin guards, etc etc.. so far.
ah well, every sport has its sacrifices. no one said it was easy to attain glory. ho hum, money is but a material good.
i hope i can have the friendships and bonds to show for my time in softball after my jc years.
of course.. i don't think it'll ever be able to compare to my time in RV ATHLETICS.
irontwelve, carrots.. those were.. those ARE.. unforgettable, irreplacable.
chedar balls.
wish i could be more focused.
maybe i should take up meditation...........
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE- BO DOM, BO DOM BO DOM BO DOM!
