i love how finding my subject matter for my music project was 'organic' (to steal a word from some of my eu readings on the I.R lol) like, totally
unplanned and unexpected.

England is a gentleman. His people appropriated the term, are examples of what it means. But there is a side to England that no one sees - or if they do they do not speak of it - especially now that England is more stuffy prim and proper than cutthroat pirate. It slips through cracks in England's expression and America likes to think it shows who England truly is inside (even if it's only a small part of him now).
America sees it only because he gets bored at meetings the minute he's not the one addressing the conference and these little slips in England's demeanour are far more interesting and fascinating than how to fix Greece's financial problems.
It's in that instant, when England is trying to suppress a smile (France is being put down by Germany for 'inappropriate behaviour at a G8 meeting') and the smile quirks into a smirk, getting sharper, more razored, and then...
there. England's expression is positively cunning, predatory even, and there's a flash of green eyes that speaks of things unimaginably ancient. America always has to repress an involuntary shudder as the word
empire imposes itself at the forefront of his mind.

wait for it-DARY >D
The romanticised version: think British (aristocrat) reading (his thick classics) in his quite nicely furbished apartment (house) sitting by the glow of the lamp, a cup of tea placed delicately on the table next to his chair. soft background music optional.
I'm probably the highly unromantic Singaporean version: sitting in my canteen, accompanied by a cup of teh in a plastic cup, reading up on my Japanese Studies research topic while listening to Bonamana on my iTouch.
Yeah. That's what I thought |:
